What is soybean oil?

This type of oil is extracted from a legume of Asian origin called soybeans. After processing the seed to extract the oil and refining, a light yellow oil with a very mild flavor is obtained with a high nutritional level where a level of 8% omega 3, 21% olieco acid and 55 % of omega 6. It is one of the most used oils worldwide that can be used for cooking, raw in salads and also to prepare margarines and other products.

How soybean oil is made?

To obtain this type of oil, the seed must be reduced by mechanical methods to increase its surface. With this, the oil is extracted using commercial hexane, in which a mixture of soybeans and hexane is generated. Ultimately, this hexane is evaporated leaving the crude oil for refining into commercial soybean oil.

Is soybean oil healthy?

Yes, in fact it has many properties that benefit health such as:
1. It has the adequate proportion of Omega 3 and Omega 6 recommended, which can only be acquired through the food we eat.
2. Does not contain trans fatty acids, which do not provide any health benefit.
3. Maintains its properties even at high temperatures.
